Entergy Press Release Supply Chain Awards Top Suppliers

PMOLink Wins Award!

New Orleans, La. – Entergy’s top tier suppliers were recently recognized at the Sixth Annual Entergy Supplier Conference. The conference, which was held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans on May 18 and 19, carried the theme, “Partnering in Quality – Enterprise-Wide Planning.”
“The main purpose of Entergy’s supplier conference is to promote efficient, high-value supplier/buyer relationships with a number of critical vendors that are fully aligned with Entergy’s values and business objectives,” said Walter Rhodes, vice president of supply chain and chief procurement officer.
The supplier conference provides a formal setting for Entergy to present and discuss the most important topics to its suppliers. The conference also streamlines the voice of Entergy to the entire supplier community, while soliciting feedback from key suppliers on various areas of importance or possible areas of opportunity.
Entergy recognized winners in two award categories, the Supply Chain Leader Awards and the Entergy-Wide Awards. The SCLAs recognize vendors who visibly and consistently exhibited high-performance levels and support for Entergy accounts, provided critical commodities and/or services to Entergy business units and areas and submitted prevailing proposals for significant supply chain agreements.
The EWAs honor those suppliers who have excelled at supporting broad, long-term company initiatives that are critical to Entergy across business unit and area boundaries. These EWAs include the eProcurement Leadership Award, the Diversity Program Leadership Award and the Safety Leadership Award.
